Hosted with Dr Halland, alongside Strive members Lindsay and Lee, this session blended personal experience with an introduction to emerging science around stem cell therapy, functional medicine, and healthy ageing.

Throughout the discussion there is a consistent theme: to stay curious, to recognise that innovation in healthcare is moving quickly, and to take ownership of your health.

What we heard:

Personal journeys can inspire others. Lindsay and Lee shared their own experiences navigating health challenges and the lifestyle changes they've made over the past five years. Their stories highlighted how a combination of nutrition, recovery practices and regenerative medicine has become part of their broader approach to wellbeing.

Longevity is about more than living longer. Dr Halland described longevity as an opportunity to maintain health, resilience and quality of life by focusing on prevention and supporting the body's natural repair processes, rather than waiting until illness develops.

Stem cells remain an evolving area of medicine. The session explored how autologous stem cells (using a person's own cells) are being researched for their potential role in tissue repair, immune regulation and recovery across a range of conditions. Dr Halland also explained the importance of cell quality, viability and ongoing clinical research in this rapidly developing field.

Testing before treating. A recurring message was that health interventions should be informed by personalised testing wherever possible. Rather than recommending the same supplements or treatments for everyone, Dr Halland encouraged understanding individual nutritional status, gut health, hormones and other biomarkers before making decisions.

Wellness is holistic. Alongside regenerative medicine, the conversation covered lifestyle practices including sleep, nutrition, exercise, recovery, sauna, cold exposure and stress management, reinforcing that no single intervention replaces healthy everyday habits.

Stay curious. Questions from members covered NAD, peptides, supplements, hormone health and longevity strategies. While acknowledging the excitement surrounding these areas, the discussion also highlighted the importance of evidence, quality, trusted medical guidance and continued research.

Why it mattered:

One of the most valuable aspects of the session wasn't simply learning about new technologies, it was the mindset behind them. The discussion encouraged members to remain open-minded and engage thoughtfully with emerging science. As always with The Strive Collective, the goal wasn't to provide all the answers, but to create space for meaningful conversations and lifelong learning.

Huge thanks to Lindsay, Lee and Dr Halland for generously sharing their experiences and expertise, and to everyone who joined with thoughtful questions and genuine curiosity.
