Privacy Policy

We really recommend reading this full Privacy Policy.

But if you're short on time, here’s the quick read version:

A. Privacy Policy Summary

We’re all about creating and sharing unforgettable experiences and that includes protecting your privacy every step of the way.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. What we collect:

We gather personal details like your name, contact info, dietary needs, preferences, and  emergency contacts - just what’s needed to plan your Strive experience and keep you  safe.

2. Why we collect it:

It helps us manage bookings, tailor your experience, keep you updated, protect against  fraud, and support you if something goes wrong.

3. How we protect it:

We treat your data like precious gear – stored securely, shared only when needed (like  with experience partners), and never sold.

4. Your rights:

You can access, change, delete, or object to how we use your info anytime. Just drop us  a line at squad@thestrivecollective.org.

5. Cookies & tools:

We use tech like cookies and analytics to make our website smoother and more helpful.  You can choose how much of this you’re cool with.

6. No kids allowed:

Our experiences - and this policy - are for grown-ups only (18+).

For all the juicy details, please scroll down and read the full policy when you have a minute - it’s written in plain English and worth your time.

B. The Full Privacy Policy

Hello, Striver!

We know privacy policies aren’t exactly a summit climb - but just like packing the right  shoes before a Strive adventure, it’s essential gear. At The Strive Collective, we’re about  unforgettable experiences that get your heart racing (in all the right ways) - and data  practices that keep things calm, clear, and secure. Your privacy matters to us, and we  handle your personal information the same way we handle our most trusted gear - with  care, respect, and zero shortcuts. Whether you’re joining us on an epic adventure, browsing  our site, or just saying hi, this policy lays out what we collect, why we need it, how we use  it, and how you stay in control.

1. When This Policy Applies:

This Privacy Policy covers how we handle your personal information when you: ● Visit our website www.thestrivecollective.org.

● Book an experience, sign up for our newsletters, or communicate with our team. ● Adventure with us in the wild, including on our experiences, at events, or during ● in-person interactions.

● Use any of our services online or offline, basically, whenever you're engaging with  us.

And yes, whether you’ve shared your information with us directly or we’ve received it via  trusted third parties (like partners helping deliver your Strive experience), this policy  applies. Ok let’s break it down.

2. Who Are We?

We’re a global community of people hungry for deep human connection, meaningful  experiences, personal evolution and positive impact. We’re founded in the UK, but we are  made up of global Strivers from all corners of the globe.

This policy covers how we handle your info under the:

● UK GDPR (for UK residents)

● EU GDPR (for our EU friends)

● CCPA (for Californians)

● And any other laws that protect your privacy (because we’re fans of those too).

3. What Data We Collect (And Why)

We’re all about creating unforgettable experiences and to do that, we sometimes need to  know a bit about you. This section spells out what kind of personal information we collect,  why we collect it, and how it helps us deliver the best possible service with that signature  Strive flair.

4. What We Mean by “Personal Information”

“Personal Information” means anything that identifies you or could be linked back to you - like your name, contact details, or travel preferences. If it relates to you as a real- life,  living person (and not just an anonymous user), it probably counts.

You’ll share some of this info with us directly - say, when you book a Strive experience or  get in touch with our team. Other times, we collect it automatically when you use our  website or on-the-ground services. Either way, we take your privacy seriously and aim to  use this information respectfully and responsibly.

5. Sometimes, It’s Sensitive (And We Treat It That Way)

Depending on where in the world you are, certain kinds of information, like your health  status, religious beliefs or sexual orientation, are classed as Sensitive Personal  Information or Special Category Data. Due to the types of trips which are part of our offering, we may need to collect and use this sort of data. We’ll only collect and use this  sort of data if:

● It’s required by law (for instance, for safety or public health reasons),

● You’ve voluntarily shared it with us (like requesting accessibility support), ● We’ve got your clear permission to do so, or

● You’ve given it to us to enable us to safely deliver a Strive experience.

If you don’t want to share this kind of info, then please let us know by emailing us as squad@thestrivecollective.org. It may however affect your ability to attend one of our Strive experiences

6. Here’s The Kind of Information We May Collect

Name & contact details - booking your experience, sending trip info, and staying in  touch

Passport/ID info - for travel logistics and compliance

Dietary requirements – to make sure we get on board with any allergies/dietary  requirements that you may have

Health information – to ensure we are aware of your personal medical information in  order for you to safely attend a Strive experience

Shirt size – to get you kitted out as part of the team

Payment info - to secure your experience (we don’t store this ourselves – our payment  partner Stripe does)

Emergency contact - safety first, always

Travel preferences & medical info - to tailor experiences to your needs and keep you  safe

Past experience history - to suggest new experiences we think you’ll love ● Website cookies & usage data - to improve your online experience

Marketing preferences - so we only send you stuff you actually care about

7. Sometimes We Get Info from Others Too

We may also receive info about you from third parties, like travel partners, suppliers, or  service providers. These might include details you’ve shared with them during bookings  or interactions, which help us paint a fuller picture of your preferences and improve your  experience with us.

When we combine that data with what you’ve already shared, it helps us tailor our  experiences to suit you even better. Think of it as personalised service, powered by data,  with your privacy fully respected along the way.

8. What’s Not Personal Info?

If we’ve stripped out anything that could link the data back to you (anonymised it) or  grouped it in a way where individuals can’t be identified (aggregated it), then it’s no  longer considered Personal Information under the law.

9. How We Use Your Info

We only use your Personal Information for reasons that make sense - and that help power your experience with The Strive Collective. Here’s what we do with it (and why): ● To make your experience seamless - we use your details to handle things like  bookings, payments, and attendance on Strive experiences to ensure your  experience goes off without a hitch.

● To create and manage your account - from login to preferences to making sure  your profile is secure - we’ve got it covered.

● To keep things personal - we use your info to tailor content, offers and  experiences to your interests. That includes ads or messages on third-party sites  or via email (but only with your consent, where required).

● To protect your experience - we work hard behind the scenes to keep our Site,  services, and systems safe from fraud, abuse, and anything else that might spoil  the fun.

● To build something even better - whether it’s testing features, researching new  ideas, or improving what we offer, your data helps us shape the future of The  Strive Collective.

● To support you - we use your information to answer questions, solve problems,  and improve the way we help - whether it’s through our team or on social media. ● To meet legal requirements - sometimes we’re required by law, regulation, or court  order to use or share information - when that happens, we comply.

● To prevent fraud and keep things fair - your info helps us detect and prevent  anything dodgy, illegal, or shady. We may also keep data that’s needed for  ongoing investigations or disputes.

● To run our business properly - sometimes we need to use your info for what  lawyer's call “legitimate interests.” In plain English: to run our business efficiently,  make smart decisions, and continue offering amazing services.

If we ever sell or restructure - if there’s ever a big change (like a sale, merger, or  reorganisation), your information might be part of what gets passed on, but only as  needed and always under strict rules.• Or... if we told you we would - we’ll only ever use  your info for what we’ve explained here, or for any other reason we clearly mention at the  time we collect it.

10. Account-Related Emails: The Essential Stuff (and a Bit of Fun) When you sign up for a Strive experience and share your email with us, we may use it to  keep you in the loop, whether it’s something important or just a little something exciting.

We’ll always play by the rules (and your preferences), and where needed, we’ll ask for  your consent first.

That means we might email you about:

● Essential service updates (like booking confirmations, security alerts, or legal  notices).

● News and announcements.

● Experience reminders or experience tips.

● The odd cheeky offer, competition, or personalised promotion, if you’ve said "yes  please" to marketing.

For example, when you first sign up, expect a warm welcome in your inbox. And if we’re  ever offline for a moment (say, for maintenance), we might drop you a heads-up.

Not Feeling the Emails?

No hard feelings. Please just give us a shout on squad@thestrivecollective.org if you want  to opt out of marketing emails.

Just a heads-up though: even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you  the important stuff about your Strive experience bookings. It’s all part of keeping your  experience smooth and secure.

And if you email us directly? We may hang on to your message (and our reply) to help us  keep improving and make sure nothing gets missed.

11. Our Legal Basis for Processing Your Information

We’re committed to doing the right thing when it comes to your personal data, and that  includes having a solid legal reason for every time we collect, use, or share it. Here’s what  that looks like:

You’ve Given Us Permission (Consent)

Sometimes we ask you directly, like when we send marketing emails, use cookies,  or collect special info (like dietary or accessibility needs). If we need your say-so,  we’ll always ask clearly and let you change your mind anytime.

We’ve Got a Deal (Contractual Necessity)

If you’ve booked an experience, or used our services, we’ll use your information to make good on that agreement, like processing payments, sending confirmations,  or getting things ready for your experience.

It’s in Our Legitimate Interest (With Your Rights in Mind)

We might process your info to improve our services, keep things running  smoothly, and help protect you (and us) from fraud or misuse. We always consider  how it impacts your privacy and balance that carefully.

We Have to (Legal Obligation)

Sometimes we’re required by law to keep or share certain data, like for tax  records, audits, or official requests from authorities. When the law says jump, we  jump (carefully).

In Case of Emergency (Vital Interests)

In rare cases, like a health emergency, we may need to share your info to help  protect your wellbeing or someone else’s. Safety first, always.

12. Who We Share Data With (And Why)

We know your personal information isn’t just data, it’s part of your story with us. So, we  only share it when there’s a good reason, a solid legal basis, and a whole lot of care.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. That’s not our style.

We only share your personal data where it is necessary to deliver Strive experiences,  operate our community and services, meet legal obligations, or otherwise for the  purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

This may include sharing your information with carefully selected, trusted third parties  who help us deliver Strive experiences and run our business effectively. These include: ● Event partners, local guides, facilitators, accommodation providers, and (where  relevant) medical professionals involved in delivering Strive experiences

● Service providers who support our operations, such as IT and hosting providers,  communications platforms, customer support services, and payment processors ● Analytics and technology providers that help us understand how our services are  used and improve the Strive experience

● Professional advisers, including legal, financial, insurance, and regulatory advisers ● Fraud prevention, security, and compliance providers where necessary to protect  Strivers, our team, or our business

We only ever share the minimum amount of personal data required for these purposes. All  third parties are required to treat your personal information as confidential, to comply with applicable data protection and consumer laws, and to use your data only for the purposes  we specify and in accordance with our instructions.

International Transfers

Like many organisations, some of our partners and service providers are based outside  the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). This means that, in order to provide our  services to you, we may need to transfer your personal data internationally.

Where we transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA, we put appropriate safeguards in  place to ensure your information remains protected, including contractual protections and  other measures required by applicable data protection law. Our partners and service  providers are not permitted to use your personal data for their own purposes.

The Bottom Line?

We never share more than we need to. We never sell your personal info. And we never  forget that this data is yours, not ours. Every sharing decision is made with care, clarity,  and your trust in mind.

13. When We Have to Share (The Legal & Business Stuff)

Legal and Regulatory Disclosures

We may also share your personal information where this is necessary:

● To comply with legal obligations or lawful requests from regulators, courts, law  enforcement, or government authorities

● To enforce our legal rights or protect the rights, property, or safety of Strivers, our  team, or others

● In connection with audits, investigations, disputes, or claim

● With professional advisers or authorities acting as processors or joint controllers  where required by law

If There’s a Big Business Change

If one day The Strive Collective joins forces with another brand, restructures part of our  business or passes the baton to someone new (think mergers, acquisitions, reorganisations, or asset transfers), your Personal Information might be part of that shift.

Here’s our promise:

● The new owners or partners will have to protect your data just like we do. ● They’ll only use it as outlined in this Privacy Policy or something just as robust. ● And while we may not be able to give you advance notice (because business  moves fast), your rights and privacy protections will stay in place.

In short: your data won’t be left behind or left unguarded - whatever happens behind the scenes.

14. Your Rights: You’re in the Driver’s Seat

Depending on where you live (hello UK, EU, US!), you have rights over your data. That  includes:

● Accessing your data

● Correcting incorrect info• Deleting your data (a.k.a. the “right to be forgotten”) ● Objecting to certain uses, like marketing

● Taking your data elsewhere (portability)

● Saying “no thanks” to automated decisions or profiling

To exercise any of these rights, just email us at squad@thestrivecollective.org and we’ll  get it sorted faster than a zip line descent.

15. Cookies (Just the Essentials – For Now)

At The Strive Collective, we like to keep things clear, simple and straight-up. Right now,  we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to make our website work as it should.  That means helping pages load, keeping things secure, and making sure your experience  runs smoothly.

We’re not using cookies for marketing or analytics at this stage, but that might change in  the future. If it does, you’ll be the first to know. We’ll always give you the choice and the  controls to decide what you’re happy with.

No drama. No data overload. Just the essentials that make every Strive moment flow.

16. Out There on the Web

While you’re exploring our website, you might come across links that take you elsewhere,  maybe to our partners, our social media pages, or other third-party sites. Just so you  know: once you click away, you’re stepping outside The Strive Collective playground.

We’re not responsible for the content, features, or privacy practices of those other sites.  They do their own thing, with their own rules - and that includes how they collect, use,  and store your personal information.

So if you visit a third-party site from a link on ours, make sure you’re happy with their  privacy policy and terms of use. Your data on their site? It’s governed by their policies,  not ours.

In short: we link out to great places, but what happens there, stays there (and is their  responsibility, not ours).

17. How We Keep Your Info Safe

We’ve got all the technical and organisational safeguards you’d expect (encryption,  secure servers, access controls) plus a no-nonsense internal policy on keeping your data  protected and private.

Only trained team members get access, and only when they need it.

18. How Long We Keep Your Info

We only keep your data for as long as we need it to:

● Plan and deliver your Strive experience

● Stay in touch (if you’ve opted in)

● Meet legal or regulatory requirements

Once we no longer need it, we either delete it or anonymise it so you can’t be identified.

19. Kids, This One’s Not for You

The Strive Collective is made for grown-up explorers. Our website, services, and experiences aren’t intended for anyone under 18 and we don’t knowingly collect personal  information from anyone who is.  If you’re a parent or guardian and think your child may have shared personal info with us  by mistake, please get in touch. We’ll do our best to delete it as quickly and carefully as  possible. Think this might have happened? Drop us a line at squad@thestrivecollective.org and  we’ll take care of it.

20. Keeping You in the Loop (Privacy Policy Updates)

Just like your Strive experiences, privacy laws and digital standards evolve - so our  Privacy Policy may change from time to time too.

If we make any big updates, we’ll give you a heads-up. That might be through: ● A notice on our website

● An email to your account address

● Or another reasonable way to make sure you see it

21. Got questions? Comments? Campfire stories?
